I also spent alot of time sanding and polishing aluminum parts . The garage was covered in black soot from polishing on the buffing wheel

Thank God for dust masks!

reassembly

#17 The main frame slipped over the engine and bolted to the mounts. The floor jack held up the engine. Then I systematically put parts back on (just like the instructions say assembly is the reverse of removal).  I used loctite and anti-seize on all the bolts which by the way most fasteners were changed to stainless steel that I polished

right side

#18 There is a nice polished swing arm (2 or 3 days) the side foot mount and pegs are polished too. I even polished the shock adjuster seen just below the rear brake reservoir. I have since put on a polished aluminum rear brake ----- brace from a fz 600 it has holes drilled all down the sides,in square tubing, nicer than that round tube

#19 The wiring harness and the controls are back in. The carbs are painted and rebuilt. All the phillip screws where changed out to stainless cap screws and new float needles, seats and O-rings installed. Once the bike is up and running the carbs will be balanced with the Morgan Carb tune2.
